A woman convicted of killing her five-year-old stepdaughter in a scalding hot bath was once a major drug dealer dubbed “Mama J”.

Janice Nix, 67, was found guilty on Tuesday of the manslaughter of Andrea Bernard by forcing her into the bath in south London’s Thornton Heath on 6 June 1978.
