St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson revealed he’s been “buzzing” to watch Keanu Baccus shine for Australia at the World Cup.
The battling Buddie featured in all three of the Socceroos group games, including the entire second half of their crucial 1-0 win over Denmark.
The Aussies are now preparing for a momentous clash with Lionel Messi’s Argentina tomorrow night, with the winners progressing to the quarter-final stage.
And Robinson couldn’t be more happy for the St Mirren star who he described as one of life’s good guys.
“I’m buzzing for him,” Robinson said. “The good guys don’t often get the rewards, but he’s such a good kid and I’m delighted for him.
“The whole of the squad is talking about it and everyone is so proud of him.
“We have been watching the games hoping he’ll get more minutes. He’ll come back full of confidence, raring to go and we’ll definitely benefit from that.”
