A new suspect has been named over the murder of Stephen Lawrence, the black teenager who was killed in a racially motivated attack in southeast London in 1993.
Matthew White, died in 2021 aged 50, first came to the attention of the police shortly after the crime as a witness. He was arrested and interviewed in March 2000 and in December 2013 but police have been accused of failing to properly investigate his potential involvement.
