Rangers midfielder Stephen Kelly is wanted by Livingston having struggled for game time at Ibrox this term.
The Scotland under-21 cap has been working under Giovanni van Bronckhorst as part of the first-team squad having returned form a successful loan spell with Salford City last summer. However, he has yet to make an appearance under the Dutchman this term and the midfielder is on the radar of a number of Scottish Premiership clubs, with English League One and Two outfits also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old.
Kelly is in the final year of his contract and it is likely that he would be allowed to leave if the right deal could be struck with Rangers and would benefit the player’s career. David Martindale has made his move to land Kelly and bring him to the Tony Macaroni Arena, with the Lions' boss looking to rush through a deal before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.
The Rangers' academy graduate has found first-team football in light blue hard to come by and in recent seasons, having been shipped out on loan to Ross County and Ayr United in previous seasons. He was given a chance in the Ibrox first-team by Steven Gerrard.
However, he only has a couple of top team appearance to his name. He featured against Dunfermline in the Premier Sports Cup and against Alashkert in the Europa League.
