Stephen Graham's BBC prison drama Time won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Mini Series on Sunday, beating popular Channel 4 show It’s A Sin, Landscapers and Stephen.
The three-part series, starring the Liverpool actor alongside Sean Bean, depicted a prison officer and prisoner navigating life inside. When prison guard Eric McNally (Graham) is singled out by a dangerous inmate, he must put his principles and family on the line.
The team behind the critically-acclaimed show looked surprised when Time was announced as winner. During the speech, they confirmed that they were shocked.

Stephen swore "on my ma's life" that he wasn't expecting to win. His wife, actress and producer Hannah Walters, also starred in the drama series.
Hannah played Sonia McNally, the wife of Graham's character, Eric. During an interview with Radio X 's Chris Moyles , the couple explained how they came to be cast in the same show.
Graham said: "This time, fortunately, I was involved in the respect of - I was an executive producer. I'm sitting at the grown up's table, you know what I mean? I was able to make some suggestions along with casting and things like that and [director Lewis Arnold] was fantastic and really accommodating and that's where I threw a few names in the hat".
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Hannah shared a photo of the BAFTA award and said: "For each and every person who worked on BBCs Time. We did this together… @BAFTA".
Her husband shared the tweet, adding: "Agreed" and a prayer emoji. Fans were quick to applaud the pair.
Daniel Elliot said: "Well in lad, fully deserved", while Rachel Smith said: "Congratulations to you all, so deserved". Monique said: "Excellent programme. Everyone in it top of their game".
