EVERYONE gets that one Christmas present that usually leaves them asking a few questions and it would seem Stephen Flynn is no different.
The MP has joked about his “best Christmas present” given to him by his mum which has left social media users in stitches.
The SNP Westminster leader took to Twitter/X to share that he had recently returned from visiting family.
He said: “Unpacking after a few days away visiting family. Instantly reminded of my best Christmas present.”
This was followed by an image of “strengthening caffeine shampoo” and Flynn’s post added: “The sort of hope only a Mum can have.”
Many users in the comments reacted with several laughing emojis while another shared an anecdote about how their auntie once brought back toothpaste from Europe only to remember the people she was giving the gift to had lost their teeth.
“Maws, you’ve got tae love them,” said another social media user while a third person commented: “Harsh! and a fourth described it as "brilliant".
Another said it was the “best Christmas-related tweet ever” and another account added: “Can anyone beat @StephenFlynnSNP’s mum as @politicaltrims gift buyer of the year?”
Don’t worry Stephen, you’re unlikely to be the only person to get a Christmas present they weren’t quite expecting.
