Steph McGovern was replaced on her Channel 4 show Steph's Packed Lunch on Thursday as an actress and comedian made her daytime TV debut.
Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin sat in the hot seat as she hosted the live chat show.
She chatted to Scummy Mummies Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn as well as Strictly's John Whaite.
Whilst not having done live TV before, Anna is used to challenging roles as she played DCS Patricia Carmichael in the BBC hit drama Line of Duty.
Former BBC Breakfast host Steph is set to return to her show as usual on Friday.
Steph was seen partying away with presenter Helen Skelton on Wednesday night as they attended Beyonce's concert together.
The pair, alongside a group of friends, enjoyed the show and posted updates from the night.
Taking to her Instagram to share a string of montage pics, Steph wrote: "Beyoncé concert in Sunderland with my mates - it was SENSATIONAL!!"
She also updated her Instagram to explain her break from her Channel 4 show, saying she was filming Have I Got News For You.
The host of the BBC programme shared a snap from the panel, giving her fans an inside look before the programme airs on Friday night.
Steph has p reviously shared that there is "no hierarchy" on her programme and that every member of the team is "as important as the next person".
"It would never, ever cross my mind that I was in some way better than someone else because I'm on the telly," she wrote in the Daily Mail.
"This was dinned into me at my state school in Middlesbrough where we were taught that we all have gifts and that we were all equal."
Best known for her daytime programme the Steph's Packed Lunch star explained how all those working on the show are seen as equals and that "the runner on the show is just as valued as me".
"In just the same way, titles or wealth are absolutely irrelevant in my opinion," she added.
