The Warriors (-3.5) came into the NBA Finals against the Celtics on a high. In their sixth appearance in eight years on the NBA’s grand stage, they sought a familiar return to greatness.
During Game 1 on Thursday night, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson — two of the biggest reasons Golden State has been such a prominent mainstay amongst the NBA elite for years — combined for one of the coolest plays you’ll see in such a big moment.
Curry found Thompson in the corner with the Warriors driving in transition late in the first quarter. And rather than watch the shot attempt from one of the league’s greatest three-point shooters ever, he simply looked away, knowing Thompson drilled it:
Steph knew it was good once Klay touched it 💦

Oh, man. How do you beat a duo that is that locked in? The “Splash Bros” are back, and the Celtics better watch out through the rest of this series.
