On Sunday (Dec. 17) Steph Curry‘s incredible 268-game stretch of making at least one three-point shot came to an end as the superstar guard struggled from the perimeter against the Portland Trail Blazers. Curry’s incredible record will likely stand for a long, long time. However, that didn’t stop him from being frustrated at the run coming to an end.
The Golden State Warriors star expressed his disappointment when speaking to the media as part of his post-game press conference. He mentioned how he wanted to see how long he could keep the run going. Unfortunately for Curry, the Warriors’ upcoming game against the Boston Celtics will (hopefully) be the start of a new streak.
“I was very aware (of my streak,” Curry said. “…when you don’t make one you definitely feel it. I definitely care because I wanted to see how far I can stretch it. Obviously now start another one.”
Curry is unquestionably one of the greatest shooters in the history of the NBA. He will be confident that he can embark on another streak of hitting perimeter shots in every game. He’s too talented to question himself after one rough shooting night in 268 games.

Nevertheless, the Warriors will have a difficult task on their hands when they face the Celtics. Boston has been playing a robust brand of defense in recent weeks and looks to funnel shooters off the three-point line. Of course, Curry has been dealing with that sort of defense for the majority of his career, and that has seldom stopped him from knocking down his three-point jumpers.
