Stefon Diggs apologises after wiping out photographer while missing catch

Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs wiped out a photographer on the sidelines after missing a catch in the endzone, and immediately went over to apologise and check they were okay.

The Bills are struggling to deal with the Cincinnati Bengals offense, and quarterback Josh Allen is relying on his receivers to deliver in the endzone. So far, Allen is the only Bills player to score a touchdown, and time is running out as they face play-off elimination.

His right-hand man Diggs was free in the endzone, but couldn't quite complete the catch despite throwing himself at it. But in doing so, he wiped out a photographer, and was quick to apologise.

The Bills had to settle for a field goal after another offensive drive with no touchdown, as they trail the Bengals. But Diggs did his best to try and score a touchdown, although it came at a cost.

Diggs showed his class as he immediately got up to check if the photographer was okay as he clashed into those on the sidelines, despite picking up a knock himself. Diggs went over the the medical table to get checked out, but re-joined the offense shortly after.

It's always a risk being a cameraman or photographer, as by trying to get the best shots, you are at risk of coming a little too close to the action. But it's always nice to see when the NFL stars are eager to express their caring side, no matter what's happening in the game.

Sometimes that's not always the case, as earlier in the season Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers proceeded to step over a cameraman after scoring a touchdown. The 49ers star then apologised, as he claimed he didn't realise.

Back in December, the 49ers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-7, with Samuel scoring the opening touchdown of the game. Samuel collided with the cameraman after being shoved by Buccaneers star Logan Ryan.

Although Samuel was at no fault for the incident, the 49ers star proceeded to step back over the man who remained on the floor, which didn't go down too well with fans online. However, he apologised on Twitter and admitted that emotions got the better of him in that moment.

"My apologies for stepping over the camera guy," Samuel posted online. "Definitely didn’t realise I did it until watching the tape. Was just in the moment. My apologies my guy."
