The Pittsburgh Steelers are once again playing meaningful football in the final week of the season. Pittsburgh needs to get past the Baltimore Ravens to finish with 10 wins and possibly sneak into the playoffs. Here are the Steelers keys to victory this week.
I've got a fever and the only cure is more Mason Rudolph
The catalyst for the Steelers late-season push has been the play of Mason Rudolph and this must continue on Saturday. Rudolph has been fearless and poised and is really pushing the offense forward in ways Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky couldn’t.
Do not underestimate the power of Tyler Huntley
Not having Lamar Jackson in the lineup hurts the Ravens offense but if the Steelers don’t take the threat of Tyler Huntley seriously, he can beat this. His athleticism is on par with Jackson’s and I don’t expect the Ravens gameplan to change much at all.
Play like they have nothing to lose because they don't
Given the Steelers three-game losing streak late in the season, they should be grateful they even have a chance to finish with 10 wins and possibly a spot in the playoffs. The Steelers are playing with house money this week and need to play loose and aggressive.
Only control what you can control
The Steelers cannot get caught up in what any other teams are doing. The focus has to be on every player doing their job, controlling what they can control and letting cards fall where they will.
