Last week, former Pittsburgh Steelers starting center Kendrick Green was a healthy scratch versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh opted to start Kevin Dotson and have J.C. Hassenauer as the team’s primary backup on the interior.
Dotson was the team’s lowest-graded starting offensive lineman according to Pro Football Focus and Hassenauer came in for Mason Cole and graded out with a dreadful 13.1 pass blocking grade.
The Steelers are looking for answers as to how to fix the offensive line on the fly and Green might be the answer. Could he be any worse than Dotson or Hassenauer? Maybe don’t answer that. Nevertheless, the Steelers might want to shake things up a little and see if they can find a combination that helps get the run game going this week and keep quarterback Mitch Trubisky clean.
