Three games in, the Pittsburgh Steelers sit alone atop the AFC North for the first time in years. After defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 20-10, Pittsburgh improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2020.
The Indianapolis Colts present a challenge for the Steelers in that it’s always an uncomfortably close matchup. Indianapolis has a bevy of weapons and has used them to score 58 points (eight touchdowns) to Pittsburgh’s 51 (three touchdowns).
The Steelers have history on their side, with an 8-1 head-to-head matchup record since 2011. Last season was the Colts’ sole defeat of the Steelers in the last nine contests.
This time around, Pittsburgh has to defend second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson, who was sidelined for most of last season. He’s a mobile threat that the defense will have to contend for, but the Steelers just so happen to have one of their own.
