The Pittsburgh Steelers defense has been seriously missing star free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick has missed the last four games dealing with a hamstring injury. But this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, Fitzpatrick says he’s playing.
Fitzpatrick returned to practice fully this week and looks like he is back to 100 percent. Pittsburgh has been struggling at safety in recent weeks with the absence of Fitzpatrick as well as Keanu Neal who remain on IR.
The one good thing to come out of this has been the emergence of Trenton Thompson. Thompson came off the practice squad and straight into the starting lineup and has proven to be a ballhawk.
Defensive tackle Montravius Adams also seems to be on track to play this week after missing two weeks with an ankle injury. In his place, rookie Keeanu Benton has quickly developed into a star.
