It didn’t take long for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense to get into a groove on Friday night. The Steelers kicked off the preseason against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett made the most of his one draft.
The Steelers went 10 plays for 83 yards in just 5:14. Pickett went 6-for-7 for 70 passing yards and capped it with a 33-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver George Pickens.
Pickett has been sharp all through training camp and he didn’t miss a beat in his first live action. The only incompletion Pickett threw was a low pass to running back Jaylen Warren in a scramble as the Tampa pass rush was bearing down on him.
With Pickett done after a single draft, Pittsburgh will turn to the trio of Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph and Tanner Morgan to finish the game.
