Sunday was a day of celebration for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After getting a huge win on Saturday over the Baltimore Ravens, the Steelers found themselves in the playoffs after the Tennessee Titans upset the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But the celebration is over for the team as they must now turn their attention to preparing to take on a red-hot Buffalo Bills team on the road and do it without their top defensive player.
However, for head coach Mike Tomlin, knowing who to replace T.J. Watt with is a fairly simple decision compared to the choice he needs to make about his starting quarterback. The team is 3-0 with Mason Rudolph in the starting lineup and he has the confidence of the team and his own confidence is sky high.
On the other side, there’s a healthy Kenny Pickett. Pickett took a backseat to Rudolph last week for the good of the team but we aren’t sure if the decision will be so cut and dry this week. We understand that Pickett is the consummate professional but could Tomlin really ask Pickett to sit this one out?
