According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the Pittsburgh Steelers have traded offensive lineman Kendrick Green to the Houston Texans. Green is a former third-round draft pick.
The career of Green has been bizarre, to say the least. After being a very good guard at the University of Illinois, Green was immediately thrust into the starting center spot for Pittsburgh. The intent was to replace Maurkice Pouncey. Unfortunately the experiment was a failure.
Green spent the entire 2022 season inactive when we hoped he might try a position switch.
Trade! The #Steelers traded OL Kendrick Green to the #Texans, per source.

Going into the 2023 offseason we knew it was a longshot for Green to salvage his career with Pittsburgh. The team actually spent quite a bit of time at training camp working Green out as a fullback, which makes zero sense now that he’s been traded.
No terms of the trade have been announced as of yet.
