According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the Pittsburgh Steelers are signing former Houston Texans cornerback Desmond King. As Wilson noted, King was the most surprising cut from Houston.
King is headed into his eighth NFL season. He was originally a fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017. King has 53 career starts including 25 starts over the last two seasons with the Houston Texans. The addition of King really adds depth to an already talented group of cornerbacks and his ability to work inside and outside gives Pittsburgh even more scheme flexibility.

It isn’t clear where King fits on the Steelers defense at this point or if his signing will mean the Steelers choose to release one of the six cornerbacks currently on the initial 53-man roster.
