On Tuesday, several members of the Pittsburgh Steelers spoke to the press including quarterback Kenny Pickett. The Steelers are hustling to prepare to take on the Tennessee Titans this week on Thursday Night Football.
One player who was supposed to address the media was quarterback Mitch Trubisky. It only made sense considering he finished the game on Sunday after Pickett was knocked out of the game and was in line to start Thursday.
But when Pickett told everyone he was planning to play on Thursday, Trubisky reconsidered and bailed on the interview. Hard to fault the guy because what exactly does he have to talk about the potential of him starting is no longer there.
The odd part is it is obvious that Trubisky was unaware of what Pickett was going to say. Ultimately it will be the team that decides if Pickett is healthy enough to play but there doesn’t seem to be any benefit of this lack of communication.
