With just seconds to play in the first half, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett went down on a huge hit and suffered what appeared to be a rib injury and went straight to the locker room.
Pickett appeared to be in serious pain as he kneeled and doubled over on the field. No word from the team yet as to his status as the game just went to halftime with the Steelers trailing the Jaguars 9-3.
Mitch Trubisky came in to finish the half and if Pickett cannot return, he would be the starter for the rest of the game. The Steelers offense was off to another miserable start on Sunday before putting together a 93-yard drive that resulted in the team’s only points. The Steelers also lost star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick early in the game with a hamstring injury.
