Fans of the HBO show Game of Thrones were in for a real treat during Saturday's clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh rookie Joey Porter Jr., who was not shy about firing back at Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd's critical comments of the Steelers, carried that same mentality into his player introduction during the NBC broadcast.
With the Bengals receiving the ball first, that meant it was time for Porter and the rest of the Steelers defense to introduce themselves to viewers. When it was Porter's turn, he didn't disappoint, referring to himself as the "King of the North" in a reference to Game of Thrones.

Porter's introduction led to reactions from NFL fans.
This user on X, formerly Twitter, found it ironic that Porter utilized that title when the Steelers are currently residing in last place in the AFC North.

The NBC player introductions have seemed to take on a life of their own, as players have eschewed the normal format, which has them list their name and college they attended, in favor of more colorful introductions.
Porter may have dropped one of the best of the season with the Game of Thrones reference.
