It was a busy day for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday. In addition to announcing the signings of free agents Breiden Fehoko and Keanu Neal, the team also announced they had re-signed tight end Zach Gentry as well as safety Damontae Kazee.
Kazee joined the Steelers last season but missed a good chunk of the year with a wrist injury he suffered in the preseason. Kazee was able to return for the final nine games and even earned four starts.
With Kazee back, it lessened the blow of Terrell Edmunds signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. Kazee will not battle it out with newly-acquired Keanu Neal to see who will start at strong safety opposite Minkah Fitzpatrick. The Steelers also signed cornerback Patrick Peterson who could also work his way into the safety rotation.
We have signed TE Zach Gentry to a one-year contract and S Damontae Kazee to a two-year contract. @BordasLaw
