Steelers 4-round mock draft udpate during the bye week

Buy Steelers Tickets

With the Pittsburgh Steelers on a bye, we decided to take some time and put together an updated 2024 NFL mock draft but went a full four rounds this time. The Steelers have a handful of spots where they need to upgrade and without a ton of money to spend in the offseason, we look for the draft to be very strategic in terms of impact rookies.

First round - OT JC Latham, Alabama

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh found its starting left tackle in the SEC via the first round last year and this time around they go back to the SEC for a starting right tackle in JC Latham.

Second round - DT T'Vondre Sweat, Texas

Sweat is a massive interior defensive lineman who is much more than just a dominant run stuffer. No 362-pound man should move the way Sweat does. He’s a perfect fit for a team that hasn’t had a dominant nose tackle since Casey Hampton.

Third round - WR Troy Franklin, Oregon

Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

This season has proven you can never have enough good wide receivers and Troy Franklin is one of the most underrated playmakers in the country with elite speed.

Fourth round - C Zach Frazier, West Virginia

Ben Queen-USA TODAY Sports

Frazier is a prototypical NFL center prospect who sides more as an athletic mover than a mauler. Solid developmental prospect.
