The Steam Summer Sale 2023 has begun, with fans excited to bag themselves some great gaming deals. The sale kicked off 6pm last night (June 30), with discounts on offer from major publishers - including Valve, Microsoft, EA, Sega, Activision, Rockstar Games, Capcom, Sports Interactive, Ubisoft and more.
The special event, with discounts of up to 90 per cent off, highlights the vast variety of Gearbox Publishing titles. In a post on the Steam Community forums, it was confirmed the sale will run for two weeks, ending on July 13, 2023.
The Steam Summer Sale 2023 is described as a 'major seasonal sale'. It is open to all released games, so there are plenty available at discount prices that players can choose from.
Special offers include Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, which players can buy at a 33 per cent discounted price of £33.49 - reduced from £49.99. Red Dead Redemption 2 is also up for grabs for £19.79 - reduced from £59.99 (67 per cent).
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been reduced by 45 per cent, from £59.99 to £32.99. And STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor can be bought for £44.99 - reduced from £59.99 (25 per cent).

Plenty of gamers have headed online to share their excitement over the sale. Ikudere jokingly tweeted: "Me getting ready to browse the steam summer sale with $4.27 in my steam wallet.
Shu_yamino typed: "What's poppin for the steam summer sale." Yagirllnikkii posted: "REMINDER THAT STEAM SUMMER SALE HAS BEGUN FRIENDS!!!!!" Blisterinoooo wrote: "HAPPY STEAM SALE."
The next major sale will take place later this year in November as part of the platform's Autumn Sale. This will swiftly be followed by the Winter Sale in December and January.
After the Steam Summer Sale 2023, Stealth Fest will commence a few days later on July 24, running until July 31, 2023. As the name suggests, there is expected to be a number of stealth-based games receiving discounts.
