Stay in a 'stunning house' with 'sunset views of Mount Snowdon'

We all need a break away from the hustle and bustle of life now and then to fully recharge and unwind, and 'Pen Y Bryn' offers just that.

Staycations are very popular at the moment, with many of us choosing to stick to the UK closer to home instead of going abroad. Thankfully, there are plenty of places offering stunning scenery pretty much on our doorstep, including this home in North Wales which is just over an hour from Liverpool.

Perched in on the outskirts of Llandyrnog is the architecturally designed detached house, Pen Y Bryn. Living up to its name which means 'Top of the Hill' the elevated property offers far-reaching views over the Vale of Clwyd towards Snowdon.

It features a versatile open-plan living space with comfy interiors with a fully equipped kitchen. The property sleeps up to a whopping 8 people with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Pen Y Bryn makes for a fantastic getaway for a family of eight or group of friends looking to explore North Wales and Chester in a rural setting. Visitors can enjoy sunset views of Mount Snowdon from the balcony or enjoy evening drinks on the decked veranda and finish the evening with a film on the 3D projector.

The property features modern interiors (Sykes Cottages)

Close by is the village of Llandyrnog with a cosy gastropub called The White Horse Inn, ideal for easy evenings where you don't feel like cooking. For keen walkers, visit the Coed Llangwyfan nature walk, Offa's Dyke Path and the Moel Famau peak.

One review read: "The property was architecturally stunning, beautifully furnished and equipped and the views were amazing. It is actually much better than the photos can convey! It looked newly decorated and was really impressively clean. Luke, who looks after the property, was immediately very helpful when we had a bit of a crisis with a puncture which was not anywhere within his remit. The only improvement I would suggest was a starter fire kit for the first night because it was a bit cold when we arrived and took a while to warm up."
