The status of injured Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson remains up in the air after coach John Harbaugh said “we’ll just have to see” when asked if Jackson would practice this week ahead of the Ravens’ Sunday night matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Harbaugh was more definitive Monday when asked if he’s optimistic Jackson will play again this season, answering: “Sure, of course.”
Jackson has not practiced or played since he left the Ravens’ Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos because of a knee injury. The Ravens have won three of four with Tyler Huntley as their primary quarterback and clinched a playoff spot with their 17-9 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Christmas Eve. They’re a game behind the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North but could still win the division title, with a Week 18 matchup in Cincinnati looming.
Several national media reports said Jackson might try to practice ahead of the Falcons game, though Harbaugh never offered a timetable for his return. Jackson was on the sideline, cheering his teammates during the victory.
