The Kansas City Chiefs made an expected offseason move on Tuesday, releasing LB Anthony Hitchens from his contract.

A four-year veteran, Hitchens accomplished a lot in Kansas City. The team made it to the AFC title game in each of his four seasons with the team, twice punching their ticket to the Super Bowl. He became a Super Bowl champion with the team in Super Bowl LIV, helping the team win a championship for the first time in 50 seasons.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid and GM Brett Veach issued statements along with the news of his release.
