A large group of travellers have pitched up at a park in Beeston - and Broxtowe Borough Council officers say they are currently working to remove them. Travellers have recently been on Hetley Pearson Recreation Ground, off Queen's Road West and also at Highfields Park on University Boulevard.
Now, around 16 caravans and other vehicles have set up on Dovecote Lane Recreation Ground in Beeston. The exact time of their arrival is not known but it is believed that they arrived today, Friday, July 15. It is not known if they are the same group or a different one.
A spokesperson from the borough council said: "The Council is aware of an unauthorised encampment on Dovecote Lane Recreation Ground, Beeston. The legal process is underway to reclaim the site.

"If residents witness any criminal activity, they are asked to report this to the Police on 101 or if it is an emergency 999."
The University of Nottingham had ordered a group of travellers to leave after they pitched up at their park last month (Friday, June 17).
The travellers were situated on Highfields Park in Beeston which is run by the university. The Co-op in the area reportedly had to temporarily close due to issues experienced.
