Stashed Boston Celtics guard prospect Juhann Begarin had himself quite the season debut after missing his team’s first four games due to a shoulder injury. Playing for Paris Basket in France’s LNB Pro A in a 95-91 loss to AS Monaco, the Les Abymes, Guadeloupe native led Paris Basketball with 28 points, 5 rebounds, an assist, and 3 steals in 32 minutes of play, fouling 3 times and turning the ball over once.
The Celtics’ former No. 45 pick of the 2021 draft had himself an especially efficient night from the field. Begarin shot a red-hot 10-of-16 from the field, 8-of-12 from 2-point range, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe in the loss.
“We all witnessed it today, Juhann Begarin is an NBA player. He can make an impact in Boston,” said Paris Basketball head coach Will Weaver via Eurohoops’ Johnny Askounis. “We missed him a lot to start the season.”
