When is Starsand Island release date?
Starsand Island‘s early access launch is on Feb. 11, 2026. It will be available on Steam and Xbox. The full game is expected to arrive later in the summer on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Seed Sparkle Lab aims to finalize the content and refine the endgame experience before Starsand Island’s full launch, which will also include a multiplayer mode.
What to expect from Starsand Island?
In Starsand Island, you get to build and explore an entire cozy island to your liking. It begins with simple activities like farming and fishing, which then expand to creature collecting, setting up elaborate buildings, shrines, and greenhouses, taming farm animals, as well as forming romantic relationships with islanders, among other activities and pursuits.
The Island is a massive place, and you can explore every nook and cranny of this vibrant world on foot or via various transportation, such as gliders, cars, bikes, skateboards, rollerskaters, and more. You can play music for your fellow animal friends, but don’t be surprised if you see a dog driving around on a scooter, because that’s apparently possible in Starsand Island!
Gameplay also includes ranged-combat encounters with mythical creatures that inhabit the mysterious ruins of the island. It’s pretty basic, but its inclusion in itself suggests there’s room for expansion or improvement in the future.
Starsand Island PC system requirements: Minimum and recommended specs
Starsand Island’s PC requirement is relatively higher than popular life-sim games such as Stardew Valley and Disney Dreamlight Valley, but lower compared to last year’s inZOI.
The GTX 3080 graphics card requirement is arguably the most demanding item of them all, but don’t confuse it with the RTX 3080. Unlike the former, the latter supports raytracing and costs roughly $1000.
