Starmer meets Palestinian Authority president Abbas at No 10

Sir Keir Starmer has welcomed Mahmoud Abbas to Downing Street as the Government continues steps towards recognising a Palestinian state.

Mr Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, welcomed Sir Keir’s pledge for recognition ahead of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York later this month if Israel does not change course.
