As the Starliner spacecraft was on the cusp of launching, an automatic hold was initiated by the ground launch sequencer, as reported by NASA. The reason behind this hold has not been disclosed yet, but the countdown clock has been frozen at four minutes before the scheduled launch time.
Prior to the hold, all the mission teams involved in the operation conducted a comprehensive 'go/no go' poll and unanimously gave the green light for Starliner to proceed with the launch.
Following the poll, a message of national pride was conveyed from the capsule by Wilmore, who remarked, 'This is a great day to be proud of your nation.'
