Ordering at a drive-thru can be a life-saver at times. You don't need to leave the comfort of your car, you can roll out of bed on a Sunday morning and grab a coffee without changing out of your pyjamas, and no one can see you until you pull up to the final window to collect your order.
Or can they?
According to one Starbucks employee on TikTok, there's an embarrassing secret to the drive-thru that most customers don't know about - and it could change the way you act when you think no one is watching.
Sharing a video in her Starbucks uniform, the employee revealed they actually have a camera set up at the first station where you reel off your order to the speaker, meaning the baristas can see whatever you do in your car while you're ordering.

Alongside the clip, the woman named Grace wrote: "I hope you all realise we can see you in the drive-thru when you make faces at us."
Grace, who posts under the username @g59pixie, showed a computer screen with the feed from the camera, which at the time showed no cars waiting to have their order taken.
And people were left stunned by the revelation, as many said they were "embarrassed" by some of the things they've done at drive-thrus in the past now that they know people were watching them.
One person said: "Oh my god, you better not be judging my pimples on that camera."
While another added: "The fact that the camera is so crisp too ... I'm embarrassed."
And a third posted: "Well that's awkward. To the Starbucks people who have watched me sobbing in the morning, my bad."
Other commenters backed up the woman's claims, with some saying they also work at a drive-thru in another coffee shop or fast-food restaurant and also have cameras set up.
Someone said: "The number of people who don’t know that a good per cent of drive-thrus have cameras like this AND that we can hear you the second you pull up."
As another agreed, stating: "People don’t know we can see so up close, I feel bad. I can actually see so much detail through our store camera."
