Starbucks customers cringe after worker confirms how the drive-thru really works

Starbucks customers have been left cringing after a worker explained how the drive-thru really works.

The employee left fast-food fans embarrassed after posting the TikTok video to social media, and confirmed ordering food from the comfort of your car may not be as private as you think.

Sharing a video in her Starbucks uniform, the employee revealed they actually have a camera set up at the first station where you reel off your order to the speaker, meaning the baristas can see whatever you do in your car while you're ordering, reports the Mirror.

Alongside the clip, the woman named Grace wrote: "I hope you all realise we can see you in the drive-thru when you make faces at us."

Grace, who posts under the username @g59pixie, showed a computer screen with the feed from the camera, which at the time showed no cars waiting to have their order taken.

And people were left stunned by the revelation, as many said they were "embarrassed" by some of the things they've done at drive-thrus in the past now that they know people were watching them.

One person said: "Oh my god, you better not be judging my pimples on that camera."

While another added: "The fact that the camera is so crisp too ... I'm embarrassed."

Someone said: "The number of people who don’t know that a good per cent of drive-thrus have cameras like this AND that we can hear you the second you pull up."

As another agreed, stating: "People don’t know we can see so up close, I feel bad. I can actually see so much detail through our store camera.
