American actor Zachary Quinto was recently spotted enjoying a meal in a restaurant on the Isle of Skye.
Staff and customers at Edinbane Lodge were surprised to see the A-lister pop in for a bite to eat over the weekend while he visited the Scottish island.
The 45-year-old star is best known for his role as Spock in the recent Star Trek series of films, including Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond. He has also earned a legion of fans after appearing in a number of popular television series such as American Horror Story, Heroes, Girls and NOS4A2.
He delighted the restaurant during his visit as he posed for photos, as staff said it was "a pleasure to cook for him". It is currently not known whether Quinto was filming while in Skye.
Taking to Facebook to share the photo, Edinbane Lodge said: "A pleasure to cook for Zachary Quinto at Edinbane Lodge over the weekend.
"The Hollywood A-lister, most famous for playing Spock in Star Trek and Sylar in Heroes. Long live and prosper."
Before long, the post had received more than 320 likes from Facebook users. Fans of both the restaurant and the actor were quick to share their thoughts in the comments.
One wrote: "Oh wow. That’s so cool! Love him, and your restaurant."
A second shared: "A great Spock. Also a serial killer in American Horror Story."
"Live long and prosper too," commented a third in reference to his Star Trek role, while a fourth simply said: "Excellent."
Edinbane Lodge is located in the small village of Edinbane, approximately halfway between the island's capital of Portree and the west coast village of Dunvegan. It is a casual fine dining restaurant with rooms set within a historic 16th century hunting lodge, and is said to be the oldest inn on Skye.
The restaurant was awarded four Rosettes by the AA in 2022, and has been featured in the Michelin Guide. Chef Patron Calum Montgomery and his wife Eilidh are Skye locals, and use locally sourced ingredients to showcase the best food the island has to offer.
