Star-Studded Closing Ceremony Wows Audience At Paris Olympics

During the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, spectators were treated to a spectacular display of music and entertainment, showcasing the cultural richness and star power of both France and the United States.

The event kicked off with performances by French bands Phoenix and Air, who energized the crowd with their hit songs. The unity between the current and future Olympic hosts was highlighted as Phoenix was joined on stage by US indie rock band Vampire Weekend.

As part of the official handover between Paris and Los Angeles, H.E.R. delivered a flawless rendition of the American national anthem, symbolizing the transition between the two cities. The handover ceremony was witnessed by gymnast Simone Biles and LA Mayor Karen Bass.

Cruise's journey to California was accompanied by the Red Hot Chili Peppers' hit song 'By the Way,' adding a touch of American flair to the proceedings.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers continued to captivate the audience with a beachside performance of 'Can't Stop,' showcasing their musical prowess and stage presence. The baton of musical excellence was then passed to singer Billie Eilish, who delivered a soulful rendition of 'Birds of a Feather,' bringing a moment of tranquility to the event.

The grand finale of the evening featured the legendary Snoop Dogg taking the stage, supported by Dr. Dre, as they delivered a medley of their greatest hits. The electrifying performance by the iconic duo left the audience in awe and set the stage for the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, promising a showcase of star power both on and off the field.
