The Bolton Food & Drink Festival will be back for the August bank holiday weekend, with a raft of star chefs, food stalls, talks, demonstrations and live music taking over the town centre.
James Martin, chef and DJ Gok Wan, Michael Caines and Great British Menu judge Nisha Katona MBE are among those who will be heading to Bolton for the event, which takes place from August 25 to 28 and will be celebrating its 18th year.
Lympstone Manor’s Caines will be kicking this off by hosting a cooking demo on the Friday, with Gok Wan appearing in the celebrity chef cooking theatre in the Festival Hall on the Saturday and performing a DJ set in the evening.

These will sit alongside around 200 food stalls and market traders, arts and crafts, street entertainment and activities for kids. Entry is free, though some events are ticketed.
Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Nick Peel, said: “I’m delighted to announce the extensive programme at the 18th Bolton Food and Drink Festival, and hope that visitors come from far and wide to join us in celebrating.
“As our flagship event, it’s really important that we make this accessible for all and offer residents free, fun activities for them and their families.”
Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Culture, Cllr Nadeem Ayub, added: “In my new role looking after culture, I am looking forward to joining the celebrations and seeing the town centre bustling.
“Events like this bring great economic benefits to the town and really help to showcase Bolton as a brilliant visitor destination.”
