Molly Picklum has been left to fly the flag in the women's field of the World Surf League's wave pool competition in Abu Dhabi as the only Australian to advance directly through to the quarter-finals.

Picklum warmed up for the opening round of the first ever competition in the UAE with some impromptu karaoke which found its way to social media, but was thankfully more on song with her performance in the water.
