Allrounder Mitch Marsh is confident Australia's star-studded bowling attack will bounce back from a rare trouncing when they front up for Tuesday night's T20 World Cup showdown with Sri Lanka.
Pat Cummins (0-46), Mitchell Starc (0-36), and Josh Hazlewood (2-41) were put to the sword in Saturday's 89-run loss to NZ.
The result has left Australia's title defence on thin ice, with the hosts needing to win their remaining four pool games to have a chance of reaching the semi-finals.
That task begins on Tuesday night on a fast and bouncy Optus Stadium wicket.
Marsh has full faith that Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood will bounce back.
"I mean, they're three of the best fast bowlers that Australia's ever had - three of the best in the world," Marsh said.
"All the best players in the world bounce back from whatever setback. That (one bad game) is a pretty minor setback.
"I'm sure that'd be fired up. They love bowling out here - fast bouncy wicket."
A win to Sri Lanka would all but end Australia's title hopes.
Sri Lanka spinner Maheesh Theekshana would love to pull off an upset.
"It's always nice to win a game, and our hope is to always to go for the last four (semi-finals)," he said.
"So if we want to (make the semi-finals), we have to beat them.
"They have very good fast bowlers and spinners, so I think they will bounce back. They were the last World Cup champions.
"They have to bounce back if they want to be in the tournament. But we have a very good batting line-up. So hopefully we'll get more than 160, 170 runs."
Marsh's preparation for the tournament was disrupted by an ankle injury.
The 31-year-old is available to bowl again, and he's hopeful of making a significant contribution with bat and ball.
"I just love playing here," the West Australian said.
"I think it's the best wicket in the world. Bounce, carry, the ball flies off the bat.
"They're big boundaries, but I don't worry about that. I love batting here and hopefully I can contribute to a win."
Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka is a chance to return from a groin tweak.
