Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will back Mikel Arteta in the transfer market this summer to take the club to a "different level", sporting director Edu Gaspar has confirmed.
The Gunners took Manchester City to the wire in the Premier League title race this season. A difficult April resulted in the north Londoners falling short and eventually finishing five points behind the champions.
Arsenal's focus is now on the summer transfer window - which opens on June 14 - to make the necessary upgrades to Arteta's squad ahead of the 2023/24 season. It's reported that Arsenal will have a budget of £200million to spend on new signings, with another midfielder, a defender and possibly another forward on the agenda.

football.london understands that West Ham star Declan Rice is the priority at London Colney, while Brighton's Moises Caicedo remains on the club's radar.
Work behind the scenes has been underway for sometime between Arteta and Edu. The duo will receive the backing from the Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, Kroenke's company that owns his sports teams.
Kroenke was last spotted at the Emirates Stadium in the 3-1 win over West Ham in December, while his son, Josh, was at the 5-0 win over Wolves on the final day of the season.
"There is still a lot to do," Edu said. "We see our squad with a margin to improve. There are different levels of football we can go to as well and we are really excited to start next season as well, because we know where we are.
"We know probably what we need to go for a different level. We receive a lot of support from the board to do what we plan to do.
"And then, let's face the summer and see how we are going to finish that to improve our squad."
