Ex-Liverpool man Stan Collymore has urged his former club to move for Leeds United winger Raphinha and apply 'a bit of pressure' on current star Mohamed Salah. Liverpool did have a fleeting interest in the Whites winger as they looked to add a marquee forward and replace Sadio Mane, but that interest faded upon the £85million deal for Benfica forward Darwin Nunez.
The Reds took a back seat as Barcelona became hot favourites, but their financial problems and Leeds' unwavering demands of around £60million priced the Spanish giants out. Arsenal now lead the race for the 25-year-old after tabling the first official bid on Tuesday evening - one that was rejected - and are being chased by Premier League rivals Tottenham and Chelsea.
But Collymore has urged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to go back in for the Brazilian as a competitor and eventual successor to Salah's right-wing spot, adding that time spent under the German manager could turn Raphinha into a 'one hell of a potential threat'.
