Nottingham Forest academy graduate Brennan Johnson can go on to become a legend at the club just like his father, according to former Reds striker Stan Collymore.
The 21-year-old is enjoying life in the Premier League, along with the side, following what was a difficult start to life in the top division for the club. Johnson has become a key player for Steve Cooper as Forest have lost just one of their last seven league games.
Johnson has scored three goals and provided a further two assists in that run, taking his total goals for the season up to five. And former Reds attacker Collymore said that the winger will have a target in mind for the remainder of the campaign.

“Five Premier League goals I think he’s on in 21, 22 games. He’s going to have a firm target of ‘can I get into double figures?’” If he can get into double figures in his debut Premier League season that would be exceptional,” he told BBC East Midlands Today.
Johnson was linked with a move away from the City Ground at the end of last season, with Premier League clubs circling before Forest’s promotion via the play-offs. The forward has been with the club since young, with his father also playing at the City Ground.
David Johnson scored 47 goals in 161 appearances for the club, with Collymore predicting that Johnson could replicate his father at the club, should the Reds see off any transfer interest.
“But in terms of what he gives, pace, enthusiasm, a lot of confidence, and he keeps going. He’s not one of those players after two or three runs he gives up,” he added. “You give him the ball and he’ll make things happen.
“And obviously Forest adding lots of attacking players and players in positions who are experienced to be able to help him along his way, I’m sure that he will go on, if he stays at the club and stays injury free, go on to be a Nottingham Forest legend like his dad.”
