Most people get post brought to their door. But for a Brislington man it was daily deliveries of his neighbour's urine spanning months, a court heard.
Bristol Crown Court was told Terrence Murphy had a gripe with the victim, who lived in the flat below. After accusing him of making noise Murphy embarked on a campaign of abuse which involved splashing his urine on the victim's door, smashing glass outside the door and racial insults.
Murphy, 64, of Sand Hill, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated stalking between January 2020 and May this year. Judge Euan Ambrose jailed him for two years and two months.

The judge told Murphy: "You made the life of your downstairs neighbour a complete and utter misery. I'm quite surprised he stuck it out."
Mandla Ndlovu, prosecuting, said for some three to four months before May this year Murphy escalated abuse to his downstairs neighbour. The court heard in that time Murphy splashed his urine from a container against the victim's door - dripping through the letter box - some three or four times a day.
On May 12 Murphy smashed several bottles on the victim's door and verbally abused him. As well as calling him a drug addict, Murphy advised him to: "Go back where you came from," Mr Ndlovu said.

Police called in arrested Murphy and took him to Keynsham custody suite. Murphy said "no comment" to all questions.
John Stokes, defending, said: "Mr Murphy recognises in retrospect that his behaviour towards the complainant was disgusting. The rationale was noise."
Mr Stokes said his illiterate client lived alone, was extremely isolated and suffered from chronic health and mental health problems. He told the court: "He had very little social interaction with anyone."
