Stacey Solomon has ruled out having more children for the timebeing, admitting that she and husband Joe Swash are “struggling to be good parents” to their six kids.
The Loose Women panellist is mum to sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships as well as son Rex, four, Rose, 22 months, and baby Belle, five months, who she shares with Swash.
While the former EastEnders actor, who tied the knot with Solomon last year, also has son Harry, 16, with his former partner Emma Sophocleous.
Reflecting on life as a blended family, former X Factor star Stacey ruled out adding to her family right now but said it would be a “dream to foster” when their children have grown up.
Talking to her Instagram followers on Wednesday while dying her hair, the 33-year-old said: “Me and Joe spoke about it when we had one night away. We could not have any more kids.
“At this point we are struggling to say the least to be good parents, and try and work and do everything else in between. So no not right now.”
She continued: “But when we’re older. Because when we went away we were a little bit like, ’Oh god, one day this will be us, just us two’, and we’ve got such a massive family the house is never quiet and we are never on our own.
“And we did say, ‘Oh it will be sad when it’s just us two and all the kids are gone’, so I think I would love to.
“Joe’s mum fosters, and I would love to one day foster as well when we are older and all the kids are grown up and moved out, that would be our dream.”
Previously, Solomon admitted that she is taking “every precaution” to avoid getting pregnant for the sixth time while discussing having time alone with Swash.
Taking to Instagram, the TV personality said: “I’ve got to say, me and Joe had the best time together.
“I think sometimes, when you’re in the thick of it and we’ve got all the kids and I’m working and then he’s working and then we’re tag teaming it, it all gets a bit tense.
“So yeah, that little 36 hours together has just made me love him so much. Not that I didn’t love him before!”
She continued: “We are on a mini-break high and really loving each other. We were kissing yesterday and the boys were like, ‘Urgh! You disgust me!’
“Oh, for those of you messaging me saying is this baby number six – no, no, no! Don’t worry, we’re taking every precaution possible to make sure that doesn’t happen!”
The married couple first met in 2010, when Solomon was crowned Queen of the Jungle on, I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
However, they did not start dating until after she returned to the jungle to front the series spin-off show, Extra Camp, in 2016, and finally married in 2022 at their home, Pickle Cottage.
