Stacey Solomon says it was 'magical' not working for months after fairytale wedding

Stacey Solomon Swash admits it was "magical" not working for months following her fairytale wedding.

The Loose Women star married Joe Swash in a beautiful and intimate ceremony earlier this year, surrounded by family and friends as they said their vows in the back garden of their home, Pickle Cottage. The couple had been engaged for some time before they tied the knot but finally got a chance to say I do earlier this year.

As she appeared on ITV's This Morning today, Stacey admitted to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that she loved having time off to be with her husband and her kids. She explained how she felt very "privileged" to have that time together.

Speaking on This Morning today, Stacey gushed: "I'm very lucky. I feel like I've been married to Joe forever anyway. Our wedding was the most special day. We loved every single second of it and I can't believe it's over. It was in our garden. We just thought, oh we'll have the ceremony in the garden with our closest friends and family and be with us and the kids."

She explained how she felt very privileged and grateful to be able to have time off from work to spend with her family following the couple's big day, which was also an intimate and family affair.

"I think a lot of times in life we don't sit down and just be with our family," she explained of having some time away from work to just enjoy life with her family, "We're always like, we've got to go to work, we've got to do this, got to do that. So to have that full day and weeks after, it was the most special and magical time. We're so privileged to do that."

Stacey previously revealed the couple are enjoying a 'homeymoon' with their kids rather than heading abroad.

"Making the most of every second of the summer we have off with the pickles... This is our honeymoon. We are calling it a 'homeymoon' because we just wanted to spend it at home with all the kids all summer," she wrote alongside a picture , "We're always one in one out and all over the place. So this time at home is just all we could have dreamed of."

At her nuptials, Stacey looked stunning in an off-white princess gown as she danced with Joe to a slowed down version of Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love at their forever home of Pickle Cottage.
