Stacey Solomon posts adorable video of rescue dog Teddy in bath after backlash from fans

Stacey Solomon shared an adorable video of her giving her two dogs a bath with her son Rex.

The mum-of-four, who recently adopted new puppy Teddy, was joined by Rex, two, who enjoyed hosing the pooches down.

Stacey, 32, told fans: "Rex thought it was the best thing ever," and added a laughing-crying emoji.

"Peanut doesn't love the bath but Teddy seemed to love it. Towel dry cuddles for being such a good boy," she added.

Peanut, the family's miniature Dachshund was joined earlier this month by rescue dog Teddy after Stacey's beloved dog Theo died.

In the sweet video little Peanut was wrapped in a towel and given a cuddle by animal lover Stacey.

Teddy, a golden cocker spaniel, also enjoyed being towel-dried as he sat very nicely in front of the free-standing bath.

Stacey shared a snap of Rex cuddling Teddy as Peanut attempted to get into the photo.

"ALL clean. I love them so much. Our little wolf pack trio. Rex, Peanut & Teddy forever," she captioned it.

The video comes after the Loose Women star sparked a backlash after revealing she'd rescued Teddy from an animal charity.

Some fans questioned why Stacey was allowed to take the dog in when she had young children in her family.

Many pointed out that adopting rescue pets to a home with infants is normally banned by charities - with Stacey appearing to get special treatment.

Explaining the procedure Stacey went through before being able to take her new hound home, ProDogsDirect said in a statement: 'We treat each dog as an individual - lots of our dogs, sadly the majority, cannot be homed with young children because of their past or lack of information about their past.

'This lad is great with children, he has a fab temperament and is now in a great home.

'We know that it is difficult when you have children, and we wish all of our dogs could be homed with children. They can't but those that can we will state and home with children if it is the right home for the dog."

The arrival of Teddy came after Stacey and the family said goodbye to Theo the Chihuahua in December.

After sharing a selection of sweet photos of the pooch cuddling with her children she paid tribute to her: "The best friend we could have ever wished for. Our hearts are broken.

"Yesterday at home in our arms we had to say goodnight to our Theo. 11 wonderful years. We were so lucky to love you Fifi and we will never stop.

"My lap has never felt so empty. I miss you so much already. My little girl. But oh my goodness the memories and the love you brought into our lives.

"Thank you for everything Theo. For protecting me and the boys when we needed it most. For loving us no matter what and for holding on for so long and waiting to meet your little sister Rose.

"Rex has had the best friend in you that he could ever have wished for and the boys have had the best protector in the whole wide world. Even though Rex is only little I know him, Zachary and Leighton will never ever forget you.

"Peanut is missing his cuddle buddy very much so we are trying to make it up to him in our cuddles but I know it’s just not the same."

A few weeks after Theo's passing Stacey signed the adoption papers for little Teddy.

She posed holding the two dogs in front of the Pickle Cottage sign and wrote: "Welcome Home Teddy.

"Last night we rescued a dog. But today I’m not sure who has rescued who.

Stacey said that Teddy adopted them, rather than the other way around (INSTAGRAM)

We miss you so much Theo. I hope you’re looking down from heaven smiling, knowing that peanut will no longer be so very lonely and that a doggy who really needed a family now has one.

To the moon and back, always."

Famous pals flocked with messages of congratulations, with Sophie Hinchliffe also known as Mrs Hinch said: "Oh my gosh Handsomes! Enjoy your forever home Teddy."

Jake Quickenden wrote: "Cute"

And Kate Lawler added: "OMG Teddy! What a lucky boy and thank you for rescuing Stacey, so many doggies out there in need of furever homes."
