Stacey Solomon appeared delighted after she was finally branded a 'cool' mum by her older children after opening up about her exhaustion following the arrival of her fifth child. The Sort Your Life out host announced that she had given birth to her second daughter on February 11, four days after she made her entrance into the world.
The new mum told how her and husband Joe Swash's baby girl "literally flew" into the world as she was born at the family's home, dubbed Pickle Cottage. "She’s here. Our beautiful, daughter born at home with all of your brothers and sister ready to snuggle you forever and ever," Stacey shared at the time alongside the first photos of her and Joe with their newborn.
"You literally flew into our world… And none of us can quite believe you're thick dark head of hair that we just can’t get over. We can’t believe your here. Welcome to the world beautiful girl, thank you for the last few months in my tummy, we can’t wait to love you forever and ever we are so grateful we get to be your family."
Stacey, who also shares daughter 16-month-old Rose and son Rex, three, with former EastEnders star Joe, then later confirmed that they had named their baby girl Belle and Stacey has since been giving her followers little updates into life as a mum-of-five as she also dotes on sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships.
Earlier this week, Stacey posted a video to her Instagram Story as she spoke to the camera and appeared glam as she sat cradling two-week-old Belle. "I just thought I'd come on and say 'Hi'," Stacey started to say. "All the kids went back to school today and I didn't realise how loud this house was until they went back to school," she laughed.
The Loose Women star then went on to discuss her appearance as she tied her hair up into a ponytail and added a bronzed glow to her face with some makeup and dark, fluttery lashes. "I don't usually look like this. I've just put some makeup on because it's my dad's birthday so I've tried to make an effort to go to dinner.
"By make an effort, I mean I've put some foundation on and a bow in my hair in the hope that no one will notice I still haven't washed it since I've given birth," Stacey laughed before Joe, who was off camera, chirped up: "No, I've definitely noticed." Stacey laughed and told him to 'shut up' as she admitted: "It is very greasy but I don't have the energy to stand there."
Stacey has since returned to Instagram with another update for her millions of loyal followers. On Wednesday (February 22), the 33-year-old shared a new snap with 16-day-old Belle who was laying asleep on the sofa as Stacey sprawled out alongside her.
She revealed the "night feed exhaustion is fully setting in," as she said: "How I spend most of my day today. Still rocking my hair box. It's so funny isn't it because the first few days you feel ok then after a couple of weeks it's like zombie mode. Determined to see some daylight tomorrow so hopefully I caught up enough today."
But despite her tiredness, Stacey looked thrilled in a video posted by hubby Joe Swash. The former X Factor star could be seen sat on the floor of her family living room cradling Belle as Joe stood behind her and son Leighton knelt down while facing the TV screen.
The boys were showing Stacey how she has a shoutout in a Sidemen song, with the YouTube group featuring KSI. The line says: "Solo man but I'm not Stacey." As she heard it, she swung her head round in surprise as Joe asked: "Nothing about me, KSI?"
Stacey then asked: "Am I cool now?" to which he said yes and she celebrated while Joe jokingly stormed off and said: "What a liberty mate!"
Joe captioned the video: "The boys showing Stace that she was in KSI's verse in the @sidemen song [crying laughing emoji]. First time I've seen them call their mum cool. Gutted I'm not in it tbf @ksi [crying laughing emoji]."
Stacey also shared the video and wrote: "I've actually never felt so cool [crying laughing emoji]. Love you @ksi. Dw [don't worry] I realise how uncool I actually am even just writing that! [crying laughing emoji]."
