Stacey Solomon forced to explain adorable family Christmas card photos with members missing

Stacey Solomon was quick to issue an explanation as she shared her adorable family Christmas card photos. The Sort Your Life Out presenter was all smiles as she posed with her two youngest children outside their family home, dubbed Pickle Cottage.

Stacey, 33, was seen sat alongside Rex, three, and Rose, 14 months, in a wooden sleigh donning a cosy white roll neck jumper as she dressed her two youngest in matching blue festive sweaters while the family's dogs Peanut and Teddy also joined in the photoshoot fun.

As well as being in the wooden sleigh, complete with brown quilted blanket, the trio and their pet pooches were surrounded by Stacey's festive door display which includes a sweeping garland above the front door which was adorned with silver baubles and accompanied by several Christmas trees with large star tree toppers.

"The cheesy Annual Christmas Card Picture," Loose Women star Stacey started the caption of her sweet post. But she was quick to explain the absence of her other family members - husband Joe Swash, her sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, and Joe's son Harry, 15, from previous relationships.

"I didn’t manage to get everyone in this year (there’s too many of us to manage) But tbh this year it was nice to make it all about Peanut & Tedd,y," she continued. "We lost our beautiful Theo last Boxing Day, we are so lucky to have Peanut, and to have been lucky enough to rescue & welcome Teddy to our family. Dogs are just so special.

"We miss you Theo. We love you Teddy & Peanut. Thank you for being the best dogs in the whole wide world, And the best friends Rex, Rose, Leighton, Zach & Harry could wish for… To the moon and back boys."

It comes after Stacey opened up about feeling a sense of 'dread' as she approached Christmas. The mum-of-four took to Instagram to share a video of her and her youngest son, Rex, headed out into the garden of their sprawling family home. The pair were heading off, with the family's two adorable pet pooches Peanut and Teddy in tow, to lay flowers for their beloved dog Theo who died in 2021.

Stacey was left heartbroken when she told fans after Christmas that 11-year-old Theo passed away in her arms surrounded by the young family on Boxing Day. And earlier this week, Rex helped his mum clean up Theo's memorial in their garden. Sharing a video to her Instagram Story with her millions of followers, Rex could be heard saying: "Theo, we're coming!" before telling his mum he could see Theo's memorial bench

She then showed Rex cleaning up Theo's own plaque before putting down some flowers as he said: "Merry Christmas, Theo!" before he continued to make sure everything looked perfect for their late pet. Writing alongside the clip, Stacey, 33, said: "Me and Rexy spent the morning visiting Theo.

"Cleaning her plaque & bringing her some fresh flowers: sounds silly but as it gets closer to Christmas and I remember that last boxing day we lost her. I'm missing her more than ever and feeling a bit of dread towards boxing day for some reason [teary eye emoji] we love you fifi happy heavenly Christmas darling."
