Stacey Solomon explains why Joe Swash isn't in family Christmas card

Stacey Solomon rushed to explain her adorable Christmas card photos after some family members were missing.

The Sort Your Life Out presenter was all smiles as she posed with her two youngest children outside their family home, Pickle Cottage. Stacey was pictured alongside son Rex, three, and daughter Rose, 14 months, in a wooden sleigh.

The 33-year-old wore a cosy white roll neck jumper as she dressed her two youngest in matching blue festive sweaters. The family's dogs Peanut and Teddy also joined in the photoshoot fun, the MEN reports.

In the background, Stacey's festive door display could be seen, including a sweeping garland above the front door adorned with silver baubles and accompanied by several Christmas trees with large star tree toppers.

Captioning the post, Loose Women star Stacey said: "The cheesy Annual Christmas Card Picture," before quickly explaining the absence of her other family members - husband Joe Swash, her sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, and Joe's son Harry, 15, from previous relationships.

She continued: "I didn’t manage to get everyone in this year (there’s too many of us to manage) But tbh this year it was nice to make it all about Peanut & Teddy. We lost our beautiful Theo last Boxing Day, we are so lucky to have Peanut, and to have been lucky enough to rescue & welcome Teddy to our family. Dogs are just so special.

"We miss you Theo. We love you Teddy & Peanut. Thank you for being the best dogs in the whole wide world, And the best friends Rex, Rose, Leighton, Zach & Harry could wish for… To the moon and back boys."

Stacey was left heartbroken when she told fans after Christmas 2021 that 11-year-old Theo passed away in her arms surrounded by the young family on Boxing Day. And earlier this week, Rex helped his mum clean up Theo's memorial in their garden. Sharing a video to her Instagram Story with her millions of followers, Rex could be heard saying: "Theo, we're coming!" before telling his mum he could see Theo's memorial bench

She then showed Rex cleaning up Theo's own plaque before putting down some flowers as he said: "Merry Christmas, Theo!" before he continued to make sure everything looked perfect for their late pet. Writing alongside the clip, Stacey, 33, said: "Me and Rexy spent the morning visiting Theo.

"Cleaning her plaque & bringing her some fresh flowers: sounds silly but as it gets closer to Christmas and I remember that last boxing day we lost her. I'm missing her more than ever and feeling a bit of dread towards boxing day for some reason [teary eye emoji] we love you fifi happy heavenly Christmas darling."
