Stacey Solomon claims she's a 'bad wife' as she reveals her and Joe Swash's I'm A Celebrity mistake

Stacey Solomon has jokingly claimed she is a 'bad wife' after she shared her first response to her husband Joe Swash taking part in the all-new I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here. Former EastEnders star Joe was seen joining the I'm A Celebrity... South Africa line-up earlier this week.

He made his entrance into the South African bush alongside fellow former BBC One soap star Dean Gaffney. But the pair weren't allowed to head straight to camp where they'll battle it out against the other memorable contestants to be crowned the first I'm A Celebrity 'Legend'.

With the trial split over two nights, viewers watched as Joe, who was crowned King of the Jungle almost 15 years ago, and Dean, who memorably starred in the 2006 series were reunited with hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly Flipping Disgusting drinking trial to win treats for their new campmates.

Joe and Dean arrived secretly on the show, where they were greeted immediately with a Bushtucker trial, described as "one of the most disgusting ever" by ITV. It saw them being made to drink "gruesome concoctions" named after individual campmates in a bid to win treats for them. It involved finishing drinks made of blended cow vagina, maggots, chicken intestines, and testicles.

But it appears Joe had pushed his first experience in the new setting Kruger National Park, instead of the Australian jungle, in South Africa, to the back of his mind as Stacey has revealed that they both forgot he was even in it. Appearing in a video posted to her Instagram Story, Stacey, who won the show in 2010 and subsequently met her husband, caught up with her loyal followers.

"I'm going to sort myself out and get ready to watch Joe in the jungle," the 33-year-old said as she sported her name-branded pyjamas and got ready for bed. "We're going to sit and watch it tonight in bed. I'll be honest with you. Both of us forgot he was even in it, so we missed it yesterday," she went on to say.

"We're going to catch up today. He filmed it so long ago and we've both got baby brain right now and completely forgot about it. I'm going to sleep after the jungle because I 've got a shoot tomorrow, which I'm really excited about."

Mum-of-five Stacey then ended the update in hysterics as she shared her hope about Joe's appearance on the first-ever spin-off of the hit show. She said: "Now I'm going to watch Joe in the jungle. Hopefully he's doing a really awful trial. I'm a bad wife."

Joe, 41, married Stacey last July in the gardens of their home. sweetly dubbed Pickle Cottage due to Stacey's nickname for her children. They have three children Rex, three, Rose, one and baby Belle who was born in February. Joe is also a proud dad to teenage son Harry while Stacey is also a doting mum to her older sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships.

Joe went on to present I’m A Celebrity’s spin-off series a year after being crowned King of the Jungle and in 2010, it is how he met former X Factor finalist Stacey, who had also just won the series, and the pair started dating. He said before heading to South Africa: "I’m A Celebrity holds a big place in my heart. I won it and I was lucky enough to go on to present the spin-off series on ITV2 f for 10 years.

"I met Stacey whilst I was out in Australia and me and Stacey have now married and we have had kids. Doing the all-stars series is closure. It finishes off the circle."

He said about Stacey's reaction to him taking part in the show, filmed last September: “Stacey is over the moon about me doing it. The jungle holds a big part in both our hearts. Without the jungle, we wouldn’t have each other. In a way, we owe it to the jungle to say goodbye."
